International Surf Day - June 20, 2008 - Cox Bay

 

Surfrider Tofino hosted a Beach BBQ at Cox Bay celebrating International Surfing Day, where a good 50 locals and visitors (small kids, big kids and their dogs!) celebrated our ocean and sport. The waves were small but glassy and some feasted before their surf, and some after!

Thanks to Trish at Breakers Deli for ordering the burgers and Ron for flipping all afternoon! Also to the District of Tofino for lending us their tent - however we did not use it as it was nice out!

Thanks also to Surfrider Vancouver and Victoria for showing up, helping out and next year we'll do it again!
